Don’t miss out, come to the free “Grab a Grant” Event

4 local businesses are coming together on Thursday 9th February to host a free event highlighting the benefits of investing in training for staff of all levels within the care sector. There are thousands of pounds in funding available to help pay for it.

Choosemycare.com, Care Training Essentials, Trayn4Synergy and ReVitalyz, in conjunction with City & Guilds and Skills South East have organised the event, which will run from 4pm – 7pm at 1000 Lakeside, North Harbour, Western Road, Portsmouth, PO6 3EZ.

Guest speakers include:

  • Penny Mordaunt, Portsmouth North MP to open the event;
  • Paul Robottom from City & Guilds, will be explaining how the new QCF qualifications work;
  • John Tomlinson from Hampshire Care Association will be speaking to explain about the Skills For Care workforce development funds that are available to fund QCF training and help with the claims process;
  • Lynda Jones from Skills for Care will also be speaking;
  • Rayna Baker from Trayn4Synergy will give a talk about their unique leadership & management development programme aimed at owners and managers of care providers (which includes a day sailing on a yacht to put all you learn into practice) and will explain how there is £1000 of grant funding available from Skills South East to help to fund this;
  • Tony Duke from ReVitalyz will run a short session to demonstrate the benefits of seated physical activities;
  • Donna Graham from Care Training Essentials will give an overview of the training provided by Care Training Essentials, with a special emphasis on the QCF Training they provide; and
  • Rob Osborne from Choosemycare.com who will give an insight into some of the benefits of being a member of choosemycare.com.

There will also be an exhibition where a number of companies that offer goods and services to the care sector will be exhibiting.

Attending this event will count towards your Continuing Professional Development and certificates of attendance will be available on the night to those that have pre-booked their place.

Refreshments will be provided and there is ample free car parking available.
