Mother confronts Nick Clegg over 7 month wait from mental health service

A mother, whose child faces a seven-month wait for help from mental health service, has challenged Nick Clegg today over cuts to front line services.

Helen Basu Chaudhuri told the Deputy Prime Minister her child was unable to get vital medical help because of budget cuts.

Mr Clegg and the Coalition have promised that front line NHS services would not be hit , but Mrs Chaudhuri said people were suffering, after mental health services in Sheffield was cut by £1m.
