Lillyfields Provides Emergency Support

Choosemycare.com member Lillyfields Care in Petersfield took delivery of a 4x4 vehicle the weekend before the first snow came in December – it proved to be perfect timing.

Lillyfields Director Diane Jones said: “As a result we did not miss any of the 130 visits over the two main days of the snow.

“One call, a mile down a country lane, we visit four times a day. On the second day of the snow we again got down the lane to find that the lady had collapsed on her bedroom floor..

“But when the ambulance and doctor on board arrived they could not get down the lane, so we transferred our client, doctor and ambulance crew with in our 4x4 vehicle reducing the impact and stress to our client.

“It is at times like this which makes the care team feel all their effort is worth while and the very thought of anyone of our clients or for that matter any vulnerable person not getting support during the bad weather is hard to contemplate?”
