Counsel and Care, the national charity, has formally launched a new refreshed website to better meet the needs of older people, their families and carers, as well as professionals and other interested parties. The revamp was funded by a grant from The Clothworkers Foundation.
The website now offers easier access to the charity’s written guides and factsheets from the home page. It also gives prominence to the advice line local rate telephone number.
Designed and built by Blaze Communication, the website went live on September 6 for Counsel and Care’s ElderCare Week, and contains new features such as links to the charity’s Twitter feed, Facebook page, and blog.
Caroline Bernard, Deputy Chief Executive and project manager, said: “We are extremely grateful for the support from The Clothworkers Foundation for this project, which we delivered to a very tight deadline in time for ElderCare Week.
“Blaze Communication undertook an extensive perception review of the original site and the new website illustrates that there are now multiple ways of engaging with older people, their families and carers. We were very impressed with the quality and speed of Blaze Communication’s work, and we have developed an excellent working relationship with them which we hope will continue for many years to come. “We look forward to receiving more feedback on the website, which we hope will keep our supported and colleagues well informed and engaged"
