Home Instead marks first birthday with official opening of new offices
Home Instead Southampton East recently marked it’s first birthday with the official opening of it’s new offices in Park Gate, Southampton.
Crowds of people packed into Home Instead Senior Care’s new office in Middle Road to mark the company’s first anniversary at an open day where Fareham MP Mark Hoban unveiled a plaque.
Luisa Castle, the company director, said:
“What we offer is a very unique service. It’s tailor-made to each client whose needs and wants are listened to.
“We want compassionate people to build a relationship with the clients.
“This office gives us the opportunity to expand and we’re looking to grow our staff and care givers.”
Fareham MP Mark Hoban said:
“I think it’s a really good idea to provide care in the home and it’s clear for Home Instead that their strap line of “to us it’s persona” shows they’re passionate for delivering the right care to people using their service.
“It reflects a growing trend of people wanting to be looked after tin their own home rather than going into a home.
“This is clearly a very strong service they’re offering and with good plans for expansion in the future which will bring employment to Fareham but also provide a service people really love and cherish.”
Fareham’s Deputy Mayor and Mayoress, Dennis and Carol Steadman, also attended the open day to meet the team of carers and staff from local businesses.
Cllr Dennis Steadman said:
“Looking after the elderly and looking after the young are really important.
“It’s fantastic and they’re a lovely staff and just to meet them and talk to them is very nice. It’s good to see something happening to look after these people.”
Brian Coles who has a tremor and suffers with breathing problems has carer Lin Dodd visit his home in Peters Close in Locks Heath to help him. The 82-year-old said:
“It’s an excellent system. I didn’t realise there were so many people involved in this.
“If it was not for this system I’d have to leave my bungalow – I wouldn’t be able to maintain living there.”
