Calderdale council has approved the decision to raise its FACS (Fair Access To Care Services) threshold from Low to Moderate. Calderdale were one of only two council’s in the country who had retained their FACS criteria at Low. The Yorkshire Post reports that the council is also raising social care charges and home meals services prices as part of it’s savings plans.
The decision was recorded in the minutes of the Council meeting that took place on 16th February 2011 and can be found on the Calderdale Council website.
