Medacs Homecare, (as with all domiciliary care agencies), is regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We are also accredited through BSi for ISO9001:2008.
The company operates robust policies and procedures that meet and exceed the requirements of the National Minimum Standards set out within the Care Standards Act 2000.
24 Hour Service
Medacs Homecare operates a 24 hour service with provision of an out of hours service manned by qualified staff and available through the local telephone contact points.
Technology
Medacs Homecare utilises the market leading rostering technology system Coldharbour. This system provides internal efficiencies for our own operation, delivering cost savings that enable us to remain competitive in the market place and also adds the dimension of interfacing with the client systems and provides an excellent platform for management information. Coupled with the ability to record details of the Service User care plan, visit records, carer matching and multiple contract details, Coldharbour has the ability to streamline communication between the commissioner and service provider as well as ensuring speed of response and accuracy of data handled.
In addition, Medacs Homecare has extensive experience of operating the CM2000 system with a number of local authorities. This call monitoring system is linked into the Coldharbour domiciliary care system and allows us to analyse care visit data online. Our staff monitor the live stream of care visit data the minute carers log-on to record visits to Service Users. This gives us the opportunity to act quickly should issues arise. In addition the ‘real-time’ nature of the system helps ensure Care Worker safety allowing an alarm to be raised quickly if visits are missed or a care worker fails to call in when expected.
Management structure
Medacs Homecare operates as a “Branch” based business with Care Workers managed and supported by a team of Branch Managers, care coordinators and field support staff. We have Branches in Finchley, Croydon, Bristol and Manchester and are in the process of opening new locations in Leeds and Coventry.
All of our Branch Managers have significant experience in the care sector and we pride ourselves on being able to tailor packages of care to suit clients prevailing needs. We do not work on a one size fits all basis as each client is recognised as having their own needs and requirements in order to provide them with the skills they need to lead a more independent life.
Medacs Healthcare (Coventry) is regulated by the Care Quality Commission
